has square shaft at pin end and has 3/4" thread at other end when drawn into the wood post it will NOT ROTATE.  ideal when gate mounted behind the posts.

 

can be lag bolted to post, connected with lengths of threaded rod through posts, or welded to steel post - no adjustment - often suited to retrofits

3/4" pin with 7' threaded shaft.  this pin does offer an alternative to full through bolts but is not as strong or reliable as a pin that is bolted through the entire post.
