Installation is Quick and Easy
	Step #1 Place the first strap back plate so the bend hooks around the edge of the gate upright (stile) on the hinge side. It should be centered on the horizontal rail. Attached the back plate to the gate using two screws. If the rails are a different thickness to the stiles then it will be necessary to use filler blocks. We suggest a solid cellular pvc product such as Azek.
	Step #2 Using a 5/16" drill bit drill three perpendicular holes at least half way through the thickness of the gate.
	Step #3 Flip the gate over and attach the second back plate on the other side so it is at the same level (measure down from the top of the gate so that the distance is the same on both sides) as the first back plate. Drill holes as in Step 2 above.
	Step #4 Attach the trap with the pins to the front side of the gate using carriage bolts. Pass the bolts through the strap, both back plates, and secure with washers and nuts. Secure firmly but do not over tighten. Depending on the thickness of the gate bolts may have to be trimmed.
Step #5 Place the gate in the opening between the gate posts. Adjust the position of the gate using blocks and shims under the stiles of the gate so that it is sitting in the desired position. Insert the bottom cups on the bottom pins and attach them to the gate post using two of the four screws in each cup. Remove the blocks and shims. Test that the gate swings properly. Insert the top cups on the top pins and install the remainder of the screws.
