Boston Garden Post


Our BOSTON GARDEN POST is a full size reproduction of the handsome posts and caps that line the walkways of America’s oldest park, the Boston Botanical Garden.

Our caps are cast in aluminum and secure to the post with two set screws just like the original. The posts are constructed from a heavy aluminum extruded “I” beam (2 1/4" X 1 3/4") that has been notched to accept the chain. Therefore there is no chance of rust or corrosion. Both the post and caps are coated with a high quality black polyester powder coat finish.
Classically the 48 inch posts are installed with 24 to 26 inches (including the cap) above the ground surface. We also supply a 72 inch post for installations requiring the chain to be at waist level.

For commercial installations we recommend that each post be set in concrete to a depth that will prevent frost heave.
